models are always chosen to be tall and must exceed the height of five feet ten inches…
i feel like it’s not fair because not all clothing had to be worn by tall people..
They had plus size models but why can’t they have short models too?

It’s because on the runway it looks best. But it would be great if they let short girls be models too :)

everybody says that there are a lot of opportunities for shorter models, but I think that’s only for surface.

Everyone’s right, the clothes look better on taller girls but print magazines hire shorter girls if they’re the right fit for the brand!

my take on the whole body discrimination in fashion is, models are basically walking coat hangers. they’re not there to advertise their own bodies or their own physiques or to showcase how pretty short/curvy/pear-shaped/apple-shaped/etc women are—they’re there to show the clothes.

it would be oddly inconsistent to have girls of drastically varied body sizes showing off a single collection; it’s about the clothes, not the models. you want uniform blank canvases.
