I used to use irfanview but then I started using picnik. It does a lot of cool editing things but I like the clarity of a lot of peoples photos. They look professional and mine don’t. So what do you use, what do you think is the best, and what do you think is the worst?

I took a photoshop class with cs4 but I just couldn’t figure out how to make it benefit my pics. And its super expensive! like 400 with a student discount "/

I use a combination of Lightroom (trial almost expired… sniff sniff) and GIMP. GIMP takes a bit of practice to edit in, but it’s pretty amazing once you know how to use it…

I plan on purchasing Photoshop once I go to school (and probably will be required to get it), but for now I’m content using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. It’s easy to use and significantly cheaper than Photoshop, though I got it for free.

I use GIMP though I also have Photoshop and Lightroom. GIMP’s kind of similar to Photoshop. :)

Photoshop CS5 and I use picnik.com when I’m not at home, and it has a lot of cool effects (my favorite rounds corners of pictures!)

photoshop + good camera! but mine is photoshop elements so it was under $100!

btw, the clarity doesn’t come from photoshop-it comes with a high quality camera!
