So, what do you do for work? Do you like it?

Which statement fits you better:

1. “I live to work.”

2. “I work to live.”

I’m a CNA… it has its pros and cons. I like that I stay busy and active, I feel useful at the end of the day, and a lot of the people that I take care of are cute and funny. I am good at what I do. It can also be very stressful, some of the patients are difficult, and it causes pain in my back, feet, and wrists. When you work in hospitals and nursing homes, you MUST work at least every other weekend, which also sucks.

The worst part of the job is dealing with unpleasant coworkers and bosses criticizing you, but that happens in any job, so I can’t really complain about that.

I would say that i definitely work to live. If I could afford it, I’d only work like 2 days a week and spend the rest of my time pursuing my interests or being lazy!

Cool, both healthcare workers! My mom was a nurse for a long time and now teaches nursing courses. She’s trying to get into a different career though, because she can’t deal with the awful coworkers and bosses anymore. Nurses, CNAs, technicians, etc. don’t receive the respect they deserve!

As for myself, I do a few different jobs. I am a property manager, nanny, and tutor. I also act as chauffeur for the boy I tutor. It makes me feel like I’m busy, but I actually have a lot of free time. It’s nice, but it means I’m broke all the time!

I live to work. And work must be something you like to do.

Me too!! I don’t work that much as a property manager but it still can be very stressful dealing with tenants, especially when there are emergencies. That’s when I want to quit!

I live to work! Definitely. :) But my work is being a stay at home mom right now and it’s so rewarding. I love it and feel so grateful that I can do it.
