A lot of people I know have become really disillusioned with the idea of an ideal or true love. They don’t believe in things that are meant to be or that there is only one person you’re truly meant to be with

But I still do.. And a lot of the time, I feel like people are telling me I’m wrong for that. I don’t know. What do you think?

Nooooooo!!!
It’s not wrong at all…

But some people make you feel like it’s wrong..

Also I dont think there is just ONE person for ONE person.

I think in life you have MANY choices to find true love and it can happen right away, or develop over time..
But in the end, it takes work and determination to keep love together.
SOmetimes love is not enough.

If it happens it happens. You can’t consciously seek it

You are entitled to your own opinions and beliefs. :) Just love because you want to, love because no one dictated you to love someone. :)

It’s never right or wrong to believe in something, just because people don’t necessarily agree with you.
I think people who don’t believe in true love either haven’t experienced it yet or are not really clear as to what love is (because love is just a hard term to define in the first place).
Keep believing what you believe, and never doubt it if it’s what your heart feels. :)

I do believe in true love. I have fallen in love twice so far with two men who were not for me. I have yet to see true love flourish in a healthy relationship for myself but I have had an amazing relationship with a man who I did not feel in love with. So I think relationships can thrive without love if two people work at it. I just do not know if you should wait around for true love and end up completely alone.

In my opinion, if you believe in something strongly enough then it shouldn’t matter what others on the Internet think. :)

It depends what you mean by true love.

In real life, it’s nothing like the fairytales. You will argue, have to make compromises and you will never find somebody perfect in every way.

However, you can find somebody who you love unconditionally, despite their flaws, who loves you despite yours and live a very happy life together.

I agree with BeckyBedbug. Yes, there is definitely such a thing as true love. I may not have experienced it yet, but I have seen it with my own eyes. But you must remember “true love” isn’t like every sappy romance movie or Disney princess cartoon. There is no “love at first sight”. FIRST you must be compatible with someone on a logical and rational level, and only then let your emotions get involved.
