Hey everyone,
I just had a quick question about some things I bought today. I hope I’m asking under the right category. I went to a goodwill today, and ended up buying quite a few clothes and some fabrics that I’ll be making pillows with.
I’m washing the clothes before I wear them or anything. This may be a stupid question, but should I wash the fabric I bought, as well? I’m only making pillows with them, but I don’t know if I should wash them for any reason, or if it’s okay to just use them as-is.
Thanks!

I think u can wash them just in case.its better to be safe than sorry because you can never be too sure of where they came from

I agree with the first reply. You never know where the fabric is from! Besides, pre-shrinking fabric is always a good thing to do before sewing! :)

definitely wash the fabrics. I go to thrift stores for fabrics too (just scored some cute silks the other day), but I definitely wash before using them. especially if they’re all placed on one large bin, you never know if any of the other fabrics had beg bugs, bacteria, etc.
