My cousin just told me today that people who plan out what they are going to wear that day do not have any fashion sense or are not “true fashionistas”
Do you believe this to be true or agree?
Because I don’t.
It takes me a while to pick out the clothes I want to wear, I can’t picture myself just picking something out and throwing it on.
Every Sunday I plan my outfits for every day I have of school that week. It usually takes me most of my evening. But Then I am prepared and don’t waste time in the morning.
posted almost 3 years agousually the night before, but during the school year I plan them on sunday night.
posted almost 3 years agoYeah, most of the time i just think them through before i go to sleep
then no mad rush in the morning :)
I have like a OCD with what I wear, I have to put shit together. But usually I change it. I have too reallly “feel” the outfit :P
posted almost 3 years agosometimes, if there’s something really special going on the next day.
i used to do it just for school, but i found that whenever i did that i would always end up changing my mind. it’s usually chilly in the morning and whatever i had planned the day before ends up not being warm enough for me (at least in the morning).
posted almost 3 years agoyeah cos if i don’t there’s always a mad rush next morning and i end up wearing jeans and a t-shirt to college and i hate that..
posted almost 3 years agoWelll everyone plans their outfits, it doesn’t matter if they do it weeks in advance or as they get dressed. Personally, I plan my outfits at the beginning of every week, cause if there’s a certain occaision I want to wear a certain outfit for I want to make sure I remember it and don’t accidentally wear it for something else.
I also write down ideas for outfits and have a huge list of them waiting to be worn, so I have some inspiration for a cute outfit if I’m drawing a blank. :)
I tryyyy to plan outfits, because every morning is a hectic dress up session going on in my room, i pull everything out of the closet, can’t find anything and leave a huge mess behind. But unfortunately planning outfits doesn’t really work for me, I always change my mind in the morning.
posted almost 3 years agoUsually I have one thing in mind that I want to wear the next day, then the rest I’ll just see what I feel like wearing in the morning…:]
posted almost 3 years ago^ I do kind of the same thing. I like to have a rough idea of what I want to wear the night before so I don’t freak out trying to find something in the morning. I’m always super groggy and running late when I wake up so it would be a mess if I had to find a complete outfit, lol.
posted almost 3 years agoI normally don’t plan my outfits. It depends on my mood that morning. I mean, if I’m going to a special event, I’ll start thinking about what to wear weeks in advance. But for the most part, I wing everything.
posted almost 3 years agoi mostly plan my outfits the night before because I’ll always have some quick changes , but I think it really depends on my mood and the amount of time i get.
posted almost 3 years agopsh silly cousin! you need some planning… outfits dont (always) come together by magic
posted almost 3 years agoI don’t plan very often. I do have combinations in my head which I want to try out sometime but not a whole outfit unless it’s something like a special event and I need to check I’ve got everything I need (such as an interview or ball).
Either way works. :)
With regards to the original post- it’s still your style whether you wear it imediately or the day after, or even weeks later.
i usually plan the outfit the night before…but sometime in the morning it doesn’t look like it did the night before and i end u changing it again lol! but yeah it also depends on the occasion. if its just for school i plan the morning of so i can dress appropriately for the weather but if its like a party i’ll plan a couple of days ahead. :)
posted almost 3 years agoI disagree! like what everyone said, it’s YOUR sense of style. It doesn’t matter if you plan it the day before, or decide what to wear that day. Sometimes I like to plan out my outfit for the next day, especially on school days, because i take a LOONNG time trying to decide what to wear. But, if it’s during the summer, or on a weekend, and i’m just going out to the mall, then I’d probably just stand in front of my closet for half and hour trying to put together a new outfit, hahah. :)
posted almost 3 years agoSometimes when I’m bored Id plan my outfit out. But I find that the outfits I pick look better on me at night than in the morning when I get ready so I often change my outfits, which is why I’m always running late :( Buttt, I like to wear what I wanna wear that day cus thats the only way I’ll feel good in them!
posted almost 3 years agoI’m gonna be a freshie in college this fall too but at Stony Brook. I live in Queens tho, and often go to the city :) Where are you going to college in NYC?

posted almost 3 years agoI don’t agree with your cousin.
I plan some of my outfits but it’s pretty rare that I don’t change something about a planned outfit.
