I think it’s not what you wear but how you wear it. I’ve never owned a mini skirt as I’ve never liked the look but I am in my 30’s and I wear dresses that are above the knee that look really stylish. On the other hand, I went out a few weekends ago and saw girls in their teens and early 20s wear tight fitting short dresses that look really trashy. Some things you should never wear at any age!posted over 4 years ago
Vogue did an issue on this topic last year and showed what to wear during your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, etc. And women who pulled it off nicely.
I think there are some items that draw the line, but mostly I think it’s common sense, and whether or not you can pull it off.
Hopefully you’re not going to wear something in your 70s you would’ve worn when you were 25, showing skin and all.. But hey, if it works for you whatever.posted over 4 years ago
Well, when I first saw the title, I was thinking of young girls wearing slutty clothing. And I would be aghast if I had a daughter who tried to walk out the door wearing a skintight shirt as a dress at age 10 or so.
I think that if you’re old, you’d just strange wearing the things you did when you were a teenager. You can still be fashionable wearing things more appropriate for your age.posted over 4 years ago
