Hi guys. I’m Nelly, and I’m in serious need of a fashion sense.

During the day, I manage a small but incredibly busy cafe inside a college library. This requires a baggy work shirt, long pants, shoes I can stand to walk around all day in and a headscarf that completely hides my hair and ends up flattening it to such an extent that I very rarely take it down from a tight ponytail or bun. At night, I’m either going straight to school still in my work clothes, or working out.

Recently, I’ve moved to such a position at work that I actually get days off. This is all well and good, but I have absolutely no idea what to wear on these days. To me, accessorizing means wearing earrings. Coordinating means matching them with my headscarf. The cutest and most outfit-y outfit I have consists of my running tights, croc flats and a drapey artist’s shirt that I picked up for $5 at a thrift store.

To sum it up, I’m sick of being so completely inept at fashion, and I’m ready to get inspired. And also to stop buying so much black. Woot!
