I’m not so sure if people are jumping to this ‘trend,’ however it’s there if you really want it.
I was reading a recent article done by Yahoo!Shine where the latest craze in plastic surgery is getting your chins done (um, why? It’s because of how you look on video conference calls – literally!). That article reminded me of what I read late last year about changing your eye colour.
Apparently, to change your eye colour from brown to blue (however, you CANNOT change yoru eyes from blue to brown) with a simple ‘laser surgery.’ So hi-tech now, isn’t it?
The surgery will cost approximately $5,000 to do and it doesn’t damage any eye tissue or eye sight (or so they say). But, are you guys willing to go under the erm, laser (instead of knife) for permanent eye colour? This definitely puts a spin towards colour contacts doesn’t it?

posted about 1 year agoIf you use that lash growth stuff your eyes will turn brown :-/
I am very lucky to have blue eyes naturally!
posted about 1 year agoI know a girl who did it and now she ALWAYS has to wear sunglasses, even indoors/at night, because her eyes can’t handle the light anymore. So no, I wouldn’t do it
posted about 1 year agoi think blue eyes are beautiful, but i think i would look unnatural and odd with any other eyecolor!so i would never do such a thing!
posted about 1 year agoI think that’s a bad idea, my eyes are brown and sometimes they look a bit like mud.. but I’d never change them, I am happy with my eyes and I always will be, they’re the oldest thing I own that I haven’t changed over my years on Earth, and I wouldn’t change them now!
Also the risks are just too great and eyes are very important!
I won’t allow myself to ever get plastic surgery, but if I were okay with it, I would be very tempted to get a chin augmentation. It might sound weird to you because we don’t normally think that much about chins. But some people (like me) have a receding chin. I hate my profile because my chin doesn’t stick out from my neck enough (my bottom lip sticks out even further), and I’m afraid I’ll have one of those neck flaps one day. :P
posted about 1 year agoBlue eyes are nice, but it depends on the person. Personally, I wouldn’t take any type of surgery for cosmetic reasons, because having several family members who have already had surgery in the past year makes me realise all too well how dangerous it is. If there’s nothing wrong with you, don’t change it!
posted about 1 year agoThat sounds scary! and a little sketchy. And while blue eyes are nice, I wouldn’t trade my deep greens for the world! Women should be proud of their eye color; it’s the only original one in the world just like it.
posted about 1 year agoNo! I think we all have our unique appereance, that makes us beautiful in different ways. It’s just my opinion. Kisses
posted about 1 year agoNo. As much as I would love to see what I would look like with light eyes, I wouldn’t permanently alter my body for it.
posted about 1 year agoI have a friend who wears blue contacts all the time.
and she has beautiful brown eyes….
I do not think blue eyes are prettier than brown.
My son has blue eyes and got a lot of attention when he was little people would ask me “how did he get those blue eyes?” as if he was some rare animal.
ALL EYES ARE BEAUTIFUL
posted about 1 year agoNo never be happy with the eye color you have! And for fun there are colored contacts don’t take the risk
posted about 1 year agoI’d never do it. Personally I don’t think it’s ethical to surgically alter your body for purely cosmetic reasons. My money could be better spent elsewhere.
posted 3 months ago^ I agree to a certain extent, but cosmetic damage/deformities are just as capable of negatively impacting your quality of life—e.g., someone with a mild cleft palate or the survivor of an attack should be entitled to surgery. obviously changing your eye color wouldn’t really count lol
posted 3 months agoI have dark brown eyes, and while I use coloured contacts sometimes (purple and gray are my favourite), I’d never permanently alter my natural colour or put my eyesight at risk for such a superficial reason.
posted 3 months agoI would not, that is so invasive and not at all worth it. I have green/hazel eyes, but I doubt I would ever want to change their color, regardless of the color I was born with.
posted 3 months agoI have brown eyes that remind me of chocolate and I always wore colored contacts (blue, amethyst, green, gray) everycolor that they had! I don’t want to say I hate my natural eye color but I always liked seeing myself with lighter eyes. People tell me my eyes are gorgeous and that I don’t need color contacts but i don’t see what they see:/ I have gotten used to wearing clear contacts now and I love it. So i don’t think I would change my eye color. PLus it would look un natural.
posted 3 months agoI wouldn’t pay that much to change my eye color. Changing eye color permanently is such a big commitment (there are other commitments in life I’d rather worry about)! i get easily bored of my eye color so colored contacts are the way to go. They come in so many different colors now and they don’t look weird at all. This is really interesting news, though! Thanks!
