I need lunch ideas for school. I’m in a very small high school so we don’t have a cafeteria. I’ve just been bringing turkey sandwiches everyday and I’m pretty tired of them. Could anyone give me some healthy lunch ideas?

Wraps are great, and spinach salads with different fruits/nuts with some chicken could be delish… oh great, now I’m hungry! :)

Some stuff I’ve packed as a cold lunch:
Homemade salads (you can pack dressing separately to add later so it doesn’t get soggy)
Japanese-style omelet
Cereal (bring milk or yogurt kept cool with a ice pack or thermos to eat with it)
Leftovers from dinner that will still keep/taste good cold (some spaghetti dishes, pizza, etc)
Tzatziki (Greek yogurt, chopped cucumber, garlic, dill and/or mint) as a side or to add to a wrap
Ants on a log as a side (still tastes as good to me now as it did when I was a kid)

Also, mix up your sandwiches! No need to eat turkey every day when you can also eat shredded rotisserie or grilled chicken, tuna, egg salad, peanut butter, veggie combos, beans, etc, and substitute regular bread with wraps, pitas, tortillas, or even crackers.

You might also enjoy checking out some bento box sites like Just Bento, Lunch in a Box, or livejournal bento community. Some of them are little time-consuming for everyday, but they’re a good inspiration for how to combine several small healthy items instead of just one main focal point.

I have the same problem… Turkey sandwiches are so fast and easy to make, but I’m getting tired of them too. I started added avocados, which made me less tired of it. But yes, I’m also on the look out for other lunch ideas. For about a week, I was making sushi. Thank you for the good ideas! I’ll try some of them too :D

The famous PB&J sandwich, grapes, apples, cookies.
Also when it’s cold, have a tumbler of soup. :)

Like one member said, salad with fruits and nuts are great, just remember to pack an ice pack to keep it cool. You may also want to snack on dried fruit or trail mix as a healthy pick me up. A grilled chicken and pasta salad would be good and easy to prepare the night before.

I Like the idea of Hummus and Pita chips, sounds good. I sometimes make a salmon of shrimp pita with Hummus. Fruit always.

i like a good salad. different types of lettuce, cheese cubes, apples, hemp and pumpkin seeds. i also carry a little jar of dressing so it doesnt wilt. some nori chips, yougurt and some fruit. if its in season, i like fresh fruit but nice fruit is a rariety in the winter so dried is great.

stir-fried vegetables with some rice? Greek yogurt with a wrap. Wraps are great cos you can even pack leftovers into wraps and add your own taste/twist to it.
