So it’s about that time of the year where I need to get rid of all the junk that’s stored in my body from the winter. I need to tone out my whole body especially my legs, arms and stomach.

Does anyone have any good toning workouts that are effective? Thanks!

I do pilates routines off of the Blogilates channel on Youtube.
I do a lot of her leg routines, and once I start doing a new video, I swear I see results in as little as a week and half!
She makes full body workouts up to 30 minutes long. but she also has short, 5 minute long “challenge” workouts that are fun.

Try Jillian Michaels workout DVD’s they are really good for toning. I have tried the 30 day shred and the Ripped in 30 DVDS.

The Barre Method is really great for toning (careful if you have weak knees though-I’m not sure its great for them). Classes are kinda pricey, but I’m sure there’s DVDs out there you can try. I noticed a different after just doing it twice a week for one month!

Blogilates is awesome! Unlike a lot of online excercise videos, she really gets you motivated and talks you though the excercises. You should also look into poledancing classes, it’s an amazing and fun workout that builds muscles and confidence! :)

I follow, on YouTube, Laura London’s 10 mn workout for a flat stomach. It’s hard but good. Don’t do it at her speed at the start. Learn the movements and do them at your speed until you are comfortable. It works for me. lauralondon fitness.com

For the arms: this is good for the upper arm; spread your arms and roll them from the upper arm muscles- in and out. 20 times daily. You don’t use your shoulders to turn . Your upper arms should hurt!

Having been there and done that more than a few times, I finally stumbled across this one a few months back, and can safely say that it works pretty much miraculously.

You may also want to bring in variety and try eclectic workouts after a few weeks (yoga 3 couple days a week, alternating with Pilates, plain aerobics or even jogging) to escape monotony.
