I think it depends on what you want to use it for!
At the higher end of the scale, MAC and Lancôme both do lovely lip stains in rich, deep colours that would be perfect for a night out.
If you want a natural looking multi-purpose stain that can be used on your cheeks as well as your lips, ‘Benetint’ by Benefit is a best selling lip and cheek tint. You can get it for $28 on their website or at any department store that has a Benefit cosmetics counter. And because it can be used on your cheeks as well as your lips, think of it as investing in a lip stain and a blusher – that way you won’t feel so guilty about splashing out!

Urban Decay has a good one (Lip Envy Lip Stain), and MAC is really good too!
posted over 2 years agoBeaute Liqui-Gel Stains, good ol’ classic Benetint (or Posietint, more of a gel consistency).
@salutsophie – most lipstains can also be used as blusher (it’s the other way round you might need to check, as not all cheek tints would be lip safe).

Yeah benetint is good. It lasts about half a day for me, then I have to re-apply but I don’t wear much of it ‘cause I’m at school.

posted over 2 years agoI use the stila lip/cheek stains. They’re a little drying on the lips and smell kinda weird but look really pretty.
posted over 2 years agoRevlon makes a pretty good lipstain, and it’s a lot cheaper than getting one from Sephora. But the other brands that other people mentioned are nice too, Stila has some great colors.
posted over 2 years agoI tend to buy Mac but I got a Body Shop lipstain free with a magazine and it’s surprisingly similar to Benetint!
posted over 2 years agoRevlon has got pretty fun lipstains – I like them because they look like a big permanent marker. I have a habit of licking my lips, or biting them, so lipstick/gloss/stains don’t stay ages on me – but they two Revlon ones I have last all day, if I cover them with lipcote… :)
