Hello fellow chictopians! I’ve been debating whether or not to get ombre/dip-dyed hair color. I could really use your opinions. Check out my hair inspiration post on my blog

Yes, definitely!
I would love to get one myself, but I wouldn’t like to dye my hair :/ So I’m still looking for alternatives!

GO FOR IT! it’s so much fun experimenting with hair makeup and fashion. Especially since if you don’t like it or mess up, you can always change it! It’s never permanent and thats whats awesome about it.

I have dip-dyed teal hair. I loved it but it's really a pain to keep up with if you do an unnatural color. It fades within 2 weeks, more or less depending on how you treat it. Re-dying it is simple, so that's a plus, but I had to do it after 2 weeks because the color became an icky shade so if you want it for months I'd imagine you have to keep re-dying every 2-3 weeks. Another plus is that since it's only dip-dyed, it doesn't require too much dye and I was able to re-use the same bottle twice. And if you have dark hair you have to go through the bleaching process first as well if you choose an unnatural color like this on newaylook.

But I got a TON of compliments on it (before the color got all ugly as I'm letting it fade out now) and I am planning on getting a trim soon so it'll be less visible and I can return to normal. I have to say... personally, the effort was worth it 'cause I turned heads (good or bad, whatever! lol) and a lot of strangers complimented me (never had that happen). It's also really fun looking when you curl your hair or tie it up!
