Does anyone have dark sunspot on their faces? I am in my mid twenties and I think I just started to develop two. I have heard that Asian girls use “whitening” products to get ride of them, but I don’t necessarily want my face to get whiter. Any tips?

I hear that limejuice works as a really effective natural bleaching agent. Girls use it on their face to get rid of sunspots. I’ve even heard some girls use it on their armpits, knees, and elbows to lighten that area of the skin. Just mix equal parts lime juice and water, and apply mixture to skin using a cotton swab (you don’t have to rinse). Do this everyday and you’ll see the sunspots gradually fading away. Good luck!

To get rid of imperfections, but not whiten your face, consider laser resurfacing options like an IPL laser. Here is a picture of a woman who had an obvious sun/age spot on her cheek. After the procedure it is much lighter. Maybe something like that could work for you?

Good luck!

Try Garnier Skin Renew Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. My friend gave it a try this past summer and I really did notice the dark spots vanishing. Oh, and never forget to wear sunblock!

lemon juice is meant to work, maybe you could add some to a moisturizer?

I've heard good things about Cinique's Dar Spot Corrector. And to make sure it doesn't get any worse, remember your sunscreen daily!

Hi Kirstine here, that's basically sound similar to my skin. I have tried this brand named Triple Action Vitamin C Serum by VoilaVe, found it on Amazon. I decided to do some online research about it and discovered Vitamin C's benefits for the skin. I have used this serum for a couple of weeks now, and was satisfied with the results. I like it because this has an anti-aging ingredient. I highly recommend this product it really helped me solve my skin problem. It works for me and it's affordable. Try it for yourself.

My mom is using the serum called Triple Action Vitamin C Serum by Voilave, she ordered it from Amazon. It is doing exactly what the sellers claim it will do. The dark spots are fading and her face is softer and smoother. And I heard that it has 3 forms of Vitamin C derivatives which works much better than products only containing one Vitamin C and it also has anti-aging ingredient which makes my mom's face look younger. It's affordable, better give it a try!

Hi,

Micro skin abrasion is the perfect solution for removing the dark spots from face. The another option is laser surgery treatment. But Laser surgery is a little bit costly.

The whitening products that the Asian market use is not literally 'whitening' but brightening. The product evens out skin tone and reduces dark spots. Try out brands like Lancome or Estee Lauder for target spot treatment.

Try rubbing a lemon on them! Or make a baking soda scrub!

I have it and I went to a skin doctor who said there's not too much one can do besides avoid the light, yes, light. Because most of the time the spots are created by pigments activated by the light, not necessarily by sunshine. So, try to use cosmectics, make up, acids, but the most important is to avoid strong light, mainly the sun.

You can use these tips at your home

1. Slice a fresh lemon and apply to the sunspots for 10 to 15 minutes per day

2. Apply Aloe Vera gel twice a day to help heal the sun-damaged areas.

3. keep a green tea bag in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes. The antioxidants in the tea helps the skin heal itself.

4. Slice a red onion and rub it over the sunspots

5. Try products containing azelaic acid.

If you do not get positive result after that then you can consult with skin care specialist, He/she will treat your sunspots with laser resurfacing, chemical peel treatments or freeze your sunspots with a technique called Cryotherapy

The main thing you should must remember to do that stay out of direct sunlight and tanning booths as much as possible. Always wear hat or take umbrella if you go outside.

I used to suffer about a year ago with acne scars on my left cheeks and the only thing that worked for me was Prima Dona whitening cream. I just dabbed a little on the scars once a day at night (although it was required to be applied twice a day) and it seriously took the scars away without whitening my face.Be aware that this is not a natural cream so I don't know how you might feel about this particular product. Thought it might be a good try to mention it since it worked for me.

There are many natural remedies available apart from lemon juice like buttermilk, oats, almonds and sandalwood. But, these take a lot of time to give you the expected result. I had 4-5 dark spots on my cheeks and forehead. I tried all these natural remedies but I could only see them getting lighter and the marks still remained. So I did a facial plastic surgery in Richmond Hill  and my spots disappeared like anything. Now I have a clear skin free from dark spots.
