That akward moment when you tip the lady who gave you a manicure/wax/haircut. You think to yourself “did I give enough? Omg, what kind of person doesn’t give enough tip?”. How much do you usually tip? Is there a percentage or something?

I always give 20%. Then maybe aroudn the holidays if you go to a person on a regular basis you can give them a small gift as well or a greater tip.

I’m a hairdresser and I think 15-20% is nice. That’s how much I usually tip.

Thanks for the input! That’s really helpful. I never knew about the whole “gifting things during the holidays”. That’s really good to know.. :)

I also use a tip calculator just to make sure I don't under-tip, or ridiculously over-tip (though I'm sure they'd be gracious).

I would bake a pastry or get them coffee for my favorite make-up artist/ hairstylist.

Tipping anywhere from 15-20% is normal. Remember tip according the the service, example, haircut $20, wax $45, manicure $15. The total tip should be $16. Hope this is helpful
