i have found using a popular asian product called Likas Papaya Soap has helped with my acne as well as evening out my skin tone. As you know we usually have very uneven skin tone, and are able to get some hyper picmentation from acne spots..this product has really helped me out. Its considered a “whitening soap” but since we are black it doesnt bleach us out, it evens the skin tone and adds a nice glow over time. You can find the product online (ebay) or at most asian grocery stores and markets.
hope that helps!
posted over 5 years agoHonestly, I have had acne from the age of 12 and the only thing that worked was going to a dermatologist and them prescibing something. I tried everything, but once the acne is under control then you can try drugstore cetaphil cleanser, benzyl peroxide gel 2.5%, and a great thick facial moisturizer with SPF…. These things saved my life when the doctors presscription ran out!
