im all for the hurt locker and avatar. i think both films were outstanding.. but don’t you find it disturbing that a war movie won over an environmental one? hmmm.. makes you think of what is happening in today’s world, yes?

on the lighter side of things.. im so happy that sandra bullock and jeff bridges won! it’s finally their time to shine (as i would say.. hahaha!). and Up won too!!! yay!

devastating. i have some friends who started a nonprofit in chile and are currently living in valparaiso, thankfully they are all safe. my thoughts are with the chilean people and all of those who are affected.

Almost time for Oslo Fashion Week again, in Norway – in case you didn’t know. Anyone going? :D I know I am <3

I’m creating a one-off publication in time for my launch in March and asking creatives, artists, designers, journalists, trendwatchers, bloggers a simple question.
‘What is your vision of the future?’

I’m looking for one special Chictopian to contribute to this publication alongside many other well known contributors.

We will require between 200 to 500 words, a recent photo of yourself, a description of what you do, a high-res image of your work / photo of you and any credits that are required for this image.

The deadline for submission is the 14th February 2010.

To apply for this, write in the comments box what the title of your piece would be.

I will then choose someone by the 31st January and the winner will be in print!

It has hit both NY and SF

eBay is becoming increasingly frustrating for me, as a seller, since all the fees have been hiked up. I don’t know if this is because it didn’t meet profit expectations last year and is trying to make up for it this year, or what….(Although, as a buyer, I still find it to be the easiest place to find a specific item I want.)

In any case, I’m in the middle of switching over to iOffer, which is really user-friendly and has substantially lower fees than eBay. And I’ve also been using Etsy quite a lot, both as a seller and buyer — I love it!

Do any of you use eBay alternatives?

Okay I just wanted you guys to see this website that I have been using for a little while .. :)

It works very great and very simple..
The great deal about this site is that they give away stuff for free..
The only thing you have to do is answer a question now and then..
As an example “What is your favourite book”
That way you earn points and for the points you can “buy” free stuff like ipod’s, rayban glasses and so on..

The only “problem” though is that you will need an invite.
Because the site is closed for the public, meaning someone who is already a member will have to invite you..

The site is only in a BETA version so far.. so i wanted to give you guys the opportunity to get in on the action before the rest of the world.
