According to The New York Times, “Christian Lacroix, the French couturier whose artistic and exuberant pouf dresses propelled him to fame in the 1980s, became the latest victim of the global financial crisis Thursday as the U.S.-owned fashion house bearing his name filed in France for court protection from creditors.” Full Story at NYtimes.com

The Mr. Christian Lacroix isn’t going down without a fight. He is stating that since the US takeover of his French empire they have run the couture fashion house into the ground with bad management and it has nothing to do with his designs. He claims he is owed 1.2 million Euros in back payments because he hasn’t been taking a salary for at least a year now from the fledgling design house. Go LacroiX!!!
