Has anyone seen this truly inspiring story?

http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=ys-everestboy052210

Jordan Romero called his mother from the top of the mountain and said, “Mom, I’m calling you from the top of the world.” I got a little emotion when I read this article. If I was his mother I’d probably start crying when I got that phone call. What a remarkable boy. He’s only one more climb away from conquering the highest peaks on all seven continents!

That’s amazing! I think the previous record was a 16 year old. Did you know the fastest ascent to Mount Everest’s peak is 21 hours!? It’s crazy. Oh the stuff I learn in anthropology class …

That is definitely an accomplishment! When I was in high school, I remember my English teacher had my class read the book Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, which was his personal account about climbing Mt. Everest. If I was his mother, I would be too scared to let him go knowing the dangerous risks that he could likely face.
