So I started reading The Odyssey; Homer translated by W.H.D. Rouse, and did some research/ pre-reading on Greek mythology as well as this epic poem.
An epithet is (sometimes called an Homeric epitaph) on of the most noticeable features of Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey. Epithet comes from the Greek for putting (something) on (something). It is a tag or nickname that can be used o its own or together with the real name, depending on other features of the Greek language.
TASK: Create an epithet for your own name! Consider what you like to do, who your parents are, and what you are best known for!
