Anything by Jane Austen. I just finished Tina Fey’s book, Bossypants, which was hilarious!

I agree with Dauielle – Dracula and The Picture of Dorian Gray are both great books! But it really depends on which genres you like. I would recommend following some book blogs and/or get recommendations on Goodreads.com If you’re interested, you can also check out my blog The Bookworm’s Closet – I post book reviews as well as outfits, and you may fins some inspiration :-)

If you like Sci-Fi I very highly recomend Ender’s Game and Ender’s Shadow and any book by Orson Scott Card that takes place in the Ender universe!

You may or may not have seen the trailer for the new Ender’s Game movie coming out but in case you haven’t I’ll give you a brief summary so you can decide if the book interests you at all!

Basically It’s about the planet Earth sometime in the future. The human race has been attacked twice by an alien species we refer to as the buggers. We are anticipating a third attack so we are doing everything we can to prepare because the bugger army is very powerful and if they come back they may just destroy the entire human race once and for all!!
In order to prepare for this third attack we are recruiting the world’s finest children and shipping them all off to a battle school in outer space where they get to practice zero gravity combat and learn other awesome things like that! It’s probably one of the best books I have ever read besides Speaker for the Dead which is kind of the next book.

(Technically Speaker was written before Ender’s Game but might as well read them in chronological order rather than the order they were written)

I’m currently reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami and
I’m also getting through the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin but taking my time because it’ll be a while till the next few books are released. But if you like Game of Thrones, this is the book series it’s based on.
I’m really into sci-fi/fantasy/young adult so another few series…
The Mortal Instrument (also being turned into a major motion picture) by Cassandra Clare
Blue Blood by Melissa De La Cruz
Anything written by Neil Gaiman (American Gods or The Sandman series)
Sabriel by Garth Nix
American born Chinese by Gene Leung
