Aside from regular hotels and motels, I recently learned that there are igloo hotels which absolutely blew my mind! Though, i really dislike cold weather, I would actually want to try it one day. You can view the interiors of the igloo: “http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/blog/50801/iglu-dorf+hotel+rooms+made+of+snow+go+for+gulp+170+to+580/”;

Would you ever check in at a igloo hotel?

It would be a great adventure! I’d be willing to try it at least once.

I did the tour of the Hôtel de Glace in Québec, but did not stay overnight. It is a very beautiful place and they have very warm looking fur blankets for the beds. There are lights in the ice that make it amazing.

It looks like the sort of thing you would do just to have a great story to tell, but I’m skeptical – even if the beds are cozy, how are the bathrooms/showers not absolutely freezing?!?
