Nights of Cabiria (Fellini, starring Guilietta Masina)
8 1/2 (Fellini, starring Marcello Mastroianni)
Smiles of a Summer Night (Ingmar Bergman)
Mon Oncle (Jacques Tati)

The Fellini movies had music by Nino Rota (the one and only!)

I first saw Nights of Cabiria when I was a teenager, fell in love with it. The last time I saw it I didn’t like it quite as much. I’m afraid to see it again. Let it be.

For a bizarre, interesting French movie, try The Hairdresser’s Husband.

Many, many more…

^Souuups I enjoyed 200 pounds of Beauty, also.

But, my favorite is Curse of the Golden Flower. My next would be Chocolate and/or Tokyo Boys.

In order that is; Korean, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. I really want see Heartbreaker, which I believe is French.
