Hi so I decided that I want to try and read more books except I don’t know any good ones and it has been a while where I have tried reading for fun. I’ve heard perks of being a wallflower was good. Any other suggestions? (=

Chuck Palahniuk is an amazing writer. He is the author of Fight Club. But my all time favorite is Invisible Monster.

My favorite book of all time is Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited. Just love that book. But also, all of Haruki Murakami’s books are also really great.

I prefer classic authors. Anything from jane austen. particularly pride and prejudice. the portrait of dorian gray by oscar wilde is good or wuthering heights is also good.

“3 steps over heaven” by Federico Moccia
It is an Italian book, and I LOVED it. There are two movies about it (one is Italian, the other Spanish), and I recommend both. The sequel is called “I want you”.

Jack Kerouac’s “on the road” is really good and so is “100 years of solitude” (it’s by Gabriel Garcia Marquez)

I agree with Striker. Jane Austen, especially Pride and Prejudice! Also, the Georgia Nicholson series is really fun. It’s teen lit, but it’s hilarious, especially if you were once a teenage girl ;)

Any Jane Austen novel. Nicholas Sparks’ novels. Also try to read classic novels like Little Women, Jane Eyre, and Wuthering Heights. :)

I guess it depends on your taste? If you haven’t read anything in a while, give the suggestions a shot! Once you discover what you enjoy, try looking up book recommendation sites online. They ask you for a book you enjoyed and based on that, will recommend other titles within that genre. Always helps me find more books! ^^ Or, the old fashion way is fun. Go on a Book Day. Hit the library or bookstore and just browse around till you see something you like. Warning time and attention consuming. Happy readings!

If you haven’t read the Hunger Game series I’d definitely recommend it. Also, if you like supernatural sorts of books, the Darkest Powers series is pretty good too :)

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is supposed to be amazing, although I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. The Fire & Ice series by George R. R. Martin are really good if you’re into fantasy. The Uglies is another good series I’ve heard tons about but haven’t had the time to read. My little sister loves anything and everything written by Tamora Pierce, although I’m a fan of R.A. Salvatore myself. If you like crime/mystery books, the Nikki Heat books (from the TV series Castle) are decent.

If you’re looking for style/fashion oriented books, The Little Black Book of Style by Nina Garcia is amazing; I also really like Glamour’s Big Book of Dos & Don’ts.

OH, and of course – HARRY POTTER! Assuming you haven’t already read the books.

There are so many great books out there! What type/genre of books do you like? That will help narrow it down. There is also a website: goodreads.com that is like a facebook but for people who read….great site!!!
