I’m pretty new still to Chictopia and am seeking some feedback on my style/blog. I have started a fashion blog to practice writing and styling outfits. I am also really passionate about cooking and have incorporated that in my blog. Each outfit is like a dish, I tell my readers the ingredients to either try the dish or simply be inspired. The basics like white t’s and floral prints are like food basics butter and salt, which you add to most (all) dishes.
My style is varied, I like to try new looks. As of late my staples have been: Harem pants, ruffled shirts, anything from F21,H&M, or Zara, Vintage finds, and boots. I am inspired my the runway, the street, and the world in general!
What are your fashion basics?

What do you think of it?
Thanks,
Hannah
libys11, great article!
for me, my basic staples are:
white and black camisoles
white and black ribbed tanks
white and black plain tees (long & short sleeves)
white button down shirt
dark skinny jeans
a good fitting pair of bootcut jeans
denim mini
denim shorts
black leggings/tights
brown riding boots
gray flats
seems like a lot!
posted almost 3 years agoblue dresses. i’m a girl with blue eyes. it’s very 500 days of summer of me, but I can’t go wrong with a blue dress. I have a lot. lol and I think a signature color is a good thing to add to your basics list. just something that you know you’ll always look nice in!
posted almost 3 years ago- black jeans (I prefer skinnies)
- a white tank top
- black leggings or a black bodycon skirt
- a cardigan in black/grey/navy y’know a neutral dark colour
and that’s it for me! i don’t like basic garments to be honest and i hate plain longsleeves and t-shirts with a passion! i’m all about funky cuts, nifty details and pretty patterns!
posted almost 3 years agoplain shirts
lots of jeans
an everyday bag
a pair of shoes that basically go with every outfit
dresses, especially with nice prints… and I like a natural waist- they’re so much more flattering on me than an empire waist or a sack dress.
little cardigans in solid colors
very thick tights
riding boots
a funky scarf
gaudy cocktail rings

I have a lot of those wife-beater tanktops in different colours and then cardigans to go overtop. I mostly wear dress pants in grey or black. Not many tshirts and if I do wear one a long sleeved shirt or cardigan has to overtop or I get freezing cold and my arms itch like crazy!!! (I know that’s weird!)
