You could try layering several tights (which makes a big difference) underneath, and wearing knee-high boots.

you can wear tights with knee high socks or as thefields mentioned, layered two or three pairs of tights. You should definitely wear boots, but you can wear flats. I’m into the oxfords or maybe even a cute basic or printed flat.

i always wear flats with my tights/stockings when wearing a dress. i think that depending on the colours, print and style, i personally think it can look great. hope that helps.

I always do! :) I don’t think it looks odd at all, just pair it with neutrals if you’re afraid of looking clown-esque.
