Have you ever broken a heel? I wear high stiletto heels so much, and i never have- i realy had never even thought about it until one day my boyfriend said “youre going to break a heel” as we were walking on uneven ground… I told him I never have broken a heel or even heard of someone breaking one in real life (besides movies, commercials, etc…). He was shocked and thought it happened to girls all the time haha.

So I just wanted to confirm if this myth of “breaking a heel” is fact or fiction… Has it happened to you?

I’ve never personally broken a heel, thank god!! But I remember one time, we had to stand in line for lk an hour or two for this concert…and was wearing some heels, and this was lk my second time wearing these shoes (first time actually moving around in them) and I guess lk since I was leaning against the wall, putting more weight on one leg, by the time I got in my heel was all crooked!! I thought it was gonna break, but it didn’t…

But I have seen this lady walking on a broken heel in downtown one time….so I guess it’s true….

I always wondered about this too! I did see a girl once with one broken heel but that’s the only time, and it’s never happened to me. but I don’t wear heels very often.. maybe it happens when you wear the heels often, so they gradually wear down, or maybe if you have cheap heels?? in the book the Devil wears Prada, Andy breaks a pair of designer heels when she slams down the car brake, and I was wondering if it’s really that easy to break them in real life?? I would be soo pissed if I had designer heels and they broke that easily :P hehe. I have a few pairs of chain store cheap heels which i’ve had for quite a few years and they’ve gone through a bit of wear and tear but they still seem fine to me!

I have too seen a lady walking with a broken heel, but never actually broken one myself. And I’ve been wearing heels everyday for the past 4-5yrs?

I’ve broken a heel!
But I was really drunk, so that might explain it.

I’ve never personally broken a heel. I have, however, pulled the sole of my shoe off when I was on a night out – it had stuck to the sticky floor and when I went to step forward it ripped off!

I’ve never broken a heel, and I’ve only ever seen it happen in movies. The most popular shoe damage is a broken flip flop, I’ve had to fix so many of my friend’s flip flops.

I’ve actually broken a heel. It was a pair of stiletto heel boots, and it was winter. I slipped, caught myself before I fell and regained by balance, but broke one heel. I hobbled to the subway station, took out the other pair of shoes in my bad which I brought for work and was saved. Bad fashion mishap.

I broke the heel on a boot once. But it was like an internal break, if that makes any sense. The heel broke off the shoe, but the leather that was stitched around it kept the heel attached. So I walked around with a slide-y heel for the rest of the day. :D

I have, and they were Loeffler Randall, so they were pretty expensive and well made. Not to mention, they weren’t even like stilettos, they were thick and wood. The heel part became detached from the shoe part (they were too separate pieces held together by a nail). The only good thing is that they broke while I was wearing them at home, and that they didn’t break during my college graduation where I had previously worn them! I’m going to get them fixed on of these days…

I totally have! It was St. Patrick’s Day & we were doing Kegs & Eggs beginning at 7am-From a bad habit, which thank God I no longer have, I was standing on my heels, which one snapped. I didn’t get home that day until 3pm, while still hobbling with my well intact heel. I guess none of the other celebrators noticed, they just assumed I was in the spirit:)

I have! And it sucks!!! I definitely learned my lesson about buying cheap heels, and about walking too fast on uneven ground in them!
