I’m thinking my sister will get engaged soon…maybe I’ve been re-watching Bridesmaids too many times, but I can’t help planning ahead a bit! If/when it happens, and if/when I am chosen as the maid of honor (fingers crossed!!) I want to have a totally awesome bridal shower with a really fun theme. Do any of you Chictopians have any good ideas? Thanks!!
posted 9 months agoThat parisienne themed bridal shower in Bridesmaids was awesome! Puppies in pink berets? Lol!
Does your sister like sweets? I saw this adorable Candy Themed Bridal Shower on Martha Stewart. It’s waaaay too adorable! I wouldn’t mind someone throwing me this kind of bridal shower. :)
posted 9 months agoThe party from Bridesmaids is exactly what I thought of, too, haha!
I’ve been to a couple that are tea party themed. They turned out really nice. Who doesn’t love little sandwiches??
posted 9 months agoit depends what type of crowd you have and what your sister is into! If she is a very party person you could have a hawaiian theme with all those exotic drinks and umbrella drinks.

It really depends on what she likes! I would love a 90’s themed party (Child of the 90s) personally, but I know that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea
posted 9 months agoWhimsical, dream-like, vintage party. If there’s any way to do that without being too cheesy.
posted 9 months agoA blast from the past vintage theme would be cute. ALSO- Buy a few disposable cameras and let the party run free with them.
posted 8 months agoMy cousin got married this weekend, and me and my sisters planned the bridal event including the bridal shower. We surprised her at a semi-formal brunch buffet, and had it outside with a garden and fountain. Food & scenery was great without being too expensive. Tip: It is getting colder though, so check the weather before deciding to do it outside or inside.
