I'm not a blogger but am thinking about getting into blogging. A friend of mine who is a blogger says that she can charge a few hundred dollars for a blogpost. Is this true? I know big bloggers charge more and small bloggers charge less. But what distinguishes "big" versus "small"?

I've interned for a fashion company working on social media and I've heard a wide range of prices. From $0 to a few thousand. From what I know, pageviews and maybe social followers are the key metrics. Some bloggers have hundreds of thousands of followers, so they can charge more. I'd say if you are starting out, just do it for free and ask for co-promotion to build up your follower base. Once you have five digit social following, you can start charging hundreds of dollards.
