As long as you write about things you’re truly passionate about, and give it the edge that makes you stand out, by maybe adding a little comedy or some unique spin on it, then people will notice and should enjoy your blogposted about 3 years ago
*I think a lot of successful blogs update on a consistent schedule—like, every monday you can add one type of post, every friday add another type, etc.
*Just put yourself out there—maybe include some posts that would help people find it through a search engine. e.g. a post you did on a product review would probably have a higher chance of being searched for than a post on how you feel about a certain designer’s works
*Maybe publicize a small giveaway to attract attention?
I have a blog but I didn’t have the time for it. I just got a new camera, so I want to start posting soon :) tights-and-tea.blogspot.composted about 3 years ago
I’m just starting out too. I found that you should comment a lot on other blogs and do giveaways, join IFB, do DIYs. I’m still trying to figure it out myself! But I hope this helps! And remember it takes time. Keep being you and happy blogging :)

I think it’s really important to remember to give back the love when blogging. Like I try to pay attention to who comments on my blog or even here on Chictopia and I try to remember to leave them love too. It really can make their day to leave a little comment love. :) I don’t like the kind of bloggers who ask and ask for love, but never give back, you know what I mean?
If you can, try to take the best pictures possible and try to think about what you want to write about. I see bloggers who post outfits, but don’t really talk about what they’re wearing. They write about their day or whatever. And some people post outfits and they talk about where they bought everything or how they put it together. Figure out your focus and go from there. If it seems forced or not real, people will see that. And I think just have fun while doing it. Network and hopefully those who see you will appreciate your blog!posted almost 3 years ago
I need advice too to keep my blog alive. I mean sometimes I have a lot things to write but suddenly it’s all disappear. I know they key is consistency. but it’s just too hard.
anw, here’s my blog and my tumblr
@fioreblum: When I come up with ideas for posts but don’t have time or access to the internet to put them up I write my idea’s down so when it comes time for me to blog I can refer back to what I have written down and I am not sitting there wondering what to write about. Don’t try and force yourself to do a post because it won’t work or it won’t be your best quality of work. It’s got to flow naturally I find. If you can’t write anything, leave it and come back to it later.
I find it’s easier to write about what YOU love, don’t try and follow other bloggers, you can always take their idea’s and make it your own but you need to make it yours. Thats the reason for blogging, if you love something that no one else does make people love it too! Write about why its soo good and why you love it! Stay true to yourself.
I try and blog everyday but sometimes its harder then people think, so blog every second day. Certain days of the week I try and do the same post, like a “wants of the week” or “style crush” post. I also try and have an inspiration post each week.
I hope this helps you :)posted almost 3 years ago
