I’ve recently decided to save up for a good video camera, make-up workshops and a couple of other things to expand myself in the blogosphere. This obviously means that for the next few months; money’s going to be tight and thus means I won’t be able to go shopping as much as I’m used to or shop at the places I often like to get lost in (sorry forever21.com)
Which gave me the idea of a fun blogger project: for the next three-six months (subject to change), the bloggers that join this project will only shop in thrift, consignment, factory/outlet, charity shops and flea markets or boot sales. We’ll all share each other’s finds on our blogs too so that means traffic for everyone!
Sure, sure, going to H&M and Cotton On is a bunch of fun but there’s a lack of individuality in the things you buy, you feel me? When you thrift and shop at flea markets you’re getting one-of-a-kind items, there’s a story behind each piece and what’s better than knowing you got your knees dirty getting something no one else will have?
Macklemore wouldn’t have released a song if it wasn’t so.
So if you have any saving goals or just want to a shopping challenge, drop me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your
