you don’t necessarily need to spend money, just be a little internet savvy :) there’s a ridiculous amount of free, great templates online.
1. look for graphic/aesthetic inspiration, and look at different blogs to see how they lay things out. just get a sense of what you want beforehand.
2. look for blog templates if you don’t know how to code. ignore whatever images they have, but pay attention to the way things are laid out.
3. find an image-editing program. if you don’t have photoshop, there are a ton of open source freeware programs that offer you enough features to customize any images.
4. replace images, make changes to the layout as needed.
the easiest way to learn is to make small changes and preview them; you can always use google too :]. honestly your blog looks fine, I would just replace the header with an image and maybe make the fonts more congruent. if you look at my blog and then look at it with fonts replaced look how big a difference fonts make!posted over 3 years ago
Thanks guys! I just downloaded a template, and I’m editing currently, do you have any tips? I’m improving slightly on the html codes, but it’s still confusing! I tried to edit the facebook icon to pinterest, but it wouldn’t let me. Any ideas?posted over 3 years ago
