For vintage, I would go to the thrift store for clothes. I would shoot for simple dresses with collars, high waisted skirts, tops with puffy sleeves, and penny loafer or oxford shoes.
Boho Chic is more trendy today so I would probably stop by Forever 21 or H&M and pick up anything with fringe, bold colors and prints, frayed or destroyed denim, denim vests, fedora or straw hats, wedges/sandals, head bands, anything with feathers, huge brown waist belts, maxi skirts and dresses .
For American Apparel, they pretty much sell just basics so you can find those anywhere.
