i have a short torso and a pear figure and it always seems like high waisted shorts are out of the picture for me… i really like the style though and i want to try to find a way to wear them and not accentuate the wrong parts of my body.

any tips?

For your shorter torso, avoid actual high waisted shorts. Try to opt for a pair of shorts that are high rise, instead. That way, it doesn’t swallow your smaller torso and still gives the illusion of a high waist.

Also, try wearing a looser fit top. Maybe an oversized shirt tucked in, peasant tops, nothing too form fitting. It gives the illusion of an hour glass shape.

Hope my tips help! Let me know how it goes :)

I think a proper mid-rise would be a good compromise. Also flaring shorts look awesome as they draw attention from top to bottom, not concentrating so much on the part you don’t want to emphasize. Adds an illusion of height in general.

I’d say mid rise to with frayed ends, those are super cute! wear them with nude heels also which will give you height
