i think it’s great. i can think of camel for a coat with grey sweater underneath or camel shoes and grey shorts with black leggings underneathposted over 3 years ago
I would only do such if BOTH colors were in a dress, skirt, etc. I have a camel cardigan that I LOVE, but it looks best with earth tones.posted over 3 years ago
interesting combination… i haven’t tried it myself but i think it would work!!posted over 3 years ago
Yes, I could totally see this working. Both are neutrals, so I don’t think the combination would be overwhelming.posted over 3 years ago
I think it can look great. If the grey and camel are of a similar intensity and saturation (i.e. both similarly muted and both equally dark or light) then one being warmer and one cooler won’t look off.
Also, like any colour, there are lots of different greys. It’s not necessarily a cool colour – pure grey is completely neutral, but different shades are added to grey pigments from this starting point. Some greys are warmer (contain added yellow), some cooler (contain blue). The combination of camel and a warmer grey might look better than camel with a cooler, bluey grey.posted over 3 years ago
