I think for work it would go well with a blazer, or a cardigan and/or waist belt. Depending on your work environment, I might wear tights/leggings under it, too, just to make sure you’re keeping things modest.

For going out I would cover the waistband with a wide waist belt and then wear with it heels and a top in a simple cut. (But you could have fun with pattern— I think stripes or prints would be fine with the lace, since pattern-mixing is very in right now). But even just a basic sleeveless shirt could be really cute, especially with accessories.

I have a similar skirt from forever 21. For going out I like to tuck in a tight plain black scoop neck shirt and pair it with tights and black boots. For work I wear it with a black blazer and loose grey tucked in tank and black flats.
