So I bought this top online this morning: click click~
…and essentially, I could wear it with just about anything, right? But I’d rather wear it with something that really goes well with it. I’m super short, so even with the size I ordered, the hem will probably go past my hips, but I’m not quite sure yet…so if it does, I’m worried if I throw on some mini-shorts, that I’ll look like I’m walking around without pants on.
So, should I wear shorts and tights? Should I wear it with a skirt? Should I go out and look for a pair of those black wet look pants or leggings resembling such? (The model wearing shiny faux-leather shorts made the idea come to mind.) I do have a pair of cut-off shorts that are a faded charcoal colour, but again, I’m worried the tank will completely overpower any shorts.
Also, links to shop listings would be amazing if you have a specific piece in mind. I tried ebay for wet look pants and got a ton of shady sellers from Hong Kong and I’ve had enough unsavoury experiences with clothing sellers from Asia… :(

Cool top! If it ends up going past your bum, it would look great with black leggings that are shiny/wet look, ruched, or slashed. (don’t wear leggings as pants! hehe)
I think the top would suit a pair of shorts better, rather than a skirt. As long as the top isn’t longer than the hem of your shorts it should be fine, so just don’t wear super short shorts! :P Denim shorts would look good. I’d go for shorts that are a different colour than the top. The top has an interesting print on it so you’d want that to be the focus of your outfit anyway!

Ohhh yeah, I’ll never wear leggings as pants. D: I actually have some high wasited black jean-like pants that I was going to cut at the thigh and just roll them up, so that should work too. If worse comes to worse and the tank’s a bit big then I’ll just shrink-wash it or something. I’m going to test that today or tomorrow on another oversized shirt to see just how that would work.

Adorable top! If you’re dying to pair them with your shorts, why not just cut the hem?
Or, if you are not into the unfinished look, re-hem?

I don’t think that top can find any limitations, you can wear it with everything. I’ll go with a leather skirt and spike heels or with a wet look leggings and studded loafers. But don’t limit yourself you have a lot you can pair with that top. hope it helps. xx
