cute dress. i still have to find my grad dress and shoes
maybe a white or nude wedge. i love wedges!
Great choice for the dress! Trixxi dresses are super cute. I would definitely wear a nude, white or beige shoe. Since you asked for heels, I found 3 options @ DSW’s website:
I’ve been through 3 commencements, and it’s quite a bit of walking for 5" heels, even if you like that sort of thing. I don’t recommend sandals or peep-toes because chances are someone will bump you while walking and you’ll stub your toe or get your foot stepped on or even lose your shoe! (Some silly girl in my class of ‘07 decided to wear flip-flops and lost both before she actually finished commencement. But it’s OK because we can learn from her misfortune.)posted about 7 years ago
ahh thanks guys! i’m really loving those aldo pumps too, but I did notice that they don’t come in half sizes…I wear 7.5. If i do end up getting those, I’ll probably have to go a size down (I’d rather my heels stick to my feet than be loose haha) =(
Nude seems to be the general consensus so far, and that’s great because i loove nude shoes. if anyone has any suggestions/tips as to where to get a slight cheaper pair from a store that offers half sizes..?posted about 7 years ago
I really liked jerseyferrari’s suggestion too but I also found some other shoes at a few other sites worth checkin out….Piperlime.com has a huge selection and so did stevemadden and both offer 1/2 sizes

I also considered red, but my friend pointed out that it might be a bit too much. I think it depends on the texture though, definitely not patent red leather pumps or anything too attention-grabbing like that. Maybe a suede or other muted material?
The dress is set to come in about two days, so I’ll have more of a clue as to what will look better with it soon. Thanks so much for your suggestions guys, and keep them coming if you think of more ideas!posted about 7 years ago
I think finding a pair of shoes to go with that dress will be pretty easy. Quite a few colours will go with it, like white or cream (depending on which the top half of the dress is), peach, tan, rose pink, peach or coral with pink undertones, light/muted red or matte gold.
These may be a bit more expensive than your price range, but it’s more just an idea for colour and style (it’s likely you’ll find something cheaper in similar styles and colours if you were to shop around a bit):
