As they always say, black is always slimming but black on black is just too much. I would say a dark red blouse. However, it depends on the material of your maxi dress. How does your skirt look like?

Corsets, burgundy or black tops/blouses. I wear my black skirt with a black blouse and a burgundy vest.

A number of various crop tops works perfectly with a black maxi skirt for a sweet casual look. For something more dressy, maybe tuck in a blouse or even a button up with a statement necklace to match :)

go for studded collar shirt in oxblood – it’s so on trend !! can;t find just buy shirt and go on ebay for some studs …a great DIY

pretty much everything and every colour..think of a chunky knit though..weather is cooling down and it is going to look cool with a pair of sneaks peeping under the skirt..that’s what i would do..it would have been nice to know your style and what material the skirt is though..

anything would look good! Pair it with a leopard print top, combat boots and a red lipstick or with an oxblood button down. It would also look great with a striped top, cozy knit sweater or a plain top and fun scarf.
