I bought an awesome pair of flat oxfords from Target but they’re killing my feeting in the breaking in process. I’ve attached little adhesives to the problem areas but I was wondering if I should wear socks with these…? Therein lays the problem—no show socks actually do show, and ballet flat socks slip off. What do you guys wear?
And an off topic question…how taboo is brown shoes with black tights?
I think wearing socks would be find.. especially if they’re knee-high. It goes with the whole prim-look.

Totally fine to wear socks with them, especially now that it’s cold!! and it’s not taboo at all to wear black/brown tights and socks.

You should always wear socks when wearing brogues and oxfords! You can use ballet socks, colored ones or printed ones. Try checking out Mayo Wo’s looks!

Socks with Oxfords is totally a must! You can get those cute ones with lace at the edges,or some bright ones, or knee-highs….the possibilities are endless! :)

Socks always work with oxfords long or short,although i myself prefer short grey or black socks but knee highs are good for the school girl type of look.But white socks work most of the time too.
