Hi guys, i just have a quick question about two outfit ideas that i would like to wear to a semi formal event i will be attending next week. So,I want to wear a maxi dress that i found at forever21 (it’s royal blue with a dark green color block combo towards the bottom hem of it ) A friend of mine told me this type of color looked abit more summer related (due to it being a casual material maxi and the color of it) I actually really like to be loud (obviously with reasonable boundaries) SO ANYWAYS , i want to wear that dress or, just a sleeved peplum shirt, with a tight mini skirt (both red, but making them look as if it is a dress)
Which would you guys wear to this event?

I would go with the red outfit. It seems a little more fitting for a winter semi formal event. If you have your heart set on the maxi dress, you could pair it with something like a black blazer (with the sleeves rolled up) to make it seem less like a care free summer dress and more like a semi formal winter dress. Either way, I think you’ll look great!!!

I would have to also go with the red because it looks very classy, and that red is pretty bold so you’ll definitely be loud.

A lot depends on the context of the semi-formal (award ceremony? dance?). If it is something like a performance, I like the idea of the blue dress with nice heels or flats, classic jewelry (pearls), a clutch and a tailored, very ladylike cropped blazer, such as: http://img0.etsystatic.com/001/0/5338738/il_fullxfull.368155824_a6ge.jpg
If that is too much, the red is a lovely option.
