I have a pair of yellow patent peep-toe wedges that I never wear anymore just because of the yellow color. I’d love to DIY them with studs however I feel they’ll look better in black. I’d like to know if anyone here has ever painted or dyed patent shoes, if so can you please let me know the outcome because I’m a bit worried that dyed patent is impossible to do.

Thanks
Lena xoxo

i actually doubt that its possible and even if it was, it would be wayy to much work.

i suggest you get a inexpensive pair of black patent heels and do your DIY. :)

Just to follow-up, I read that’s it’s possible. They sanded their shoes first to give it a better canvas and then painted them.
I will try doing that and will let you guys know how it turned out.

Well, it worked. I sanded the shoes down and they spray painted very well. You can see the final result here of my first DIY.
