Sometimes I see complete flops with vintage combined with neon, but occasionally it works. What is a good way to combine these things in a fun and creative way without making look like a big mess?

I think neon accessories would work with something simple. I don’t think it would work so well with crazy 70s patterns and stuff though….

True. I was thinking maybe a neon dress shirt with white accents, like a peter pan collar and buttons, with some slacks or a simple cut jean trouser with some neutral flats/heels… and then some accessories. However, that’s as far as I got.

I think it can work. Maybe a trendy neon skirt like one from zara or forever 21 with a vintage button down, vintage blazer, or vintage kitten heels. Also, vintage bags can be great for this. You can also wear a white vintage dress with neon heels an accesories. There are many ways to style it. Here’s a blog post of mine about vintage finds. http://www.naturally-nancy.com/2013/07/vintage-finds-and-why-i-love-them.html

Yes, being eclectic is a lot of fun and vintage and neon can be a good idea to be combined.

In addition to all of the above ideas, we feel a vintage dress belted at the waist with a neon belt can look great. So can neon shorts with a vintage tee and scarf.

Besides why stick to accessories options only? Neon pink or orange nails or lips can also be a subtle way to update a vintage look.

Hm. That’s true… I never thought about the makeup. Thanks for the awesome insight!
