It’s not weird but why would you want to?
They aren’t made for warmth, they’re made to keep your feet dry. Plus, most winter boots are meant to handle all the weather winter offers, including rain.
I have the Trenton rain boots with the fur inside. I wear them on somewhat chilly days when it has rained or might rain. I don’t wear them when it’s totally sunny and no chance of anything even in the winter. I have Sorels for that cold weather.
It really all depends on the weather but I think it may look a tad silly if it’s beautiful outside and no chance of rain or snow.
I wear them in the fall, winter and spring. I probably wouldn’t for summer lol it’s too hot!posted about 4 years ago
where i live, there’s a lot of slushy snow, and so rainboots are actually really practical because they’re waterproof! as long as it looks cute and keeps you warm, it shouldn’t matter.posted about 4 years ago
I feel like they’re acceptable in the winter because you can insulate but I think it is kind of weird when it’s not supposed to rain.posted about 4 years ago
I think it’s smart! You never know when the weather might change and the roominess of rubber boots makes it easy to wear thick, warm socks.posted almost 4 years ago
I say wear what you want when you want…there are so many cool, chic, rain boots out there sometimes waiting for a rainy day just isn’t going to cut it… :Pposted almost 4 years ago

no it’s not weird. if that is your style, so be it. you don’t have to adhere to societal norms just to be accepted. you are entitled to express whatever it is you want to and that goes to whatever it is that you want to wear. i do the same, i wear warm wedge boots when i feel like wearing them and i don’t worry too much on what others have to say.posted almost 4 years ago
if the weather looks like there’s like a 50/50 chance of raining, go ahead. but if there are clear sunny skies you might get some stares.posted almost 4 years ago
