I’m 17, he’s 18. He always looks like he’s stepped out of a ralph lauren commercial, I mean classy to the nines. He told me to “just dress like your beautiful self”, but we all know that meeting the folks is a huge deal. I’m thinking about wearing a knee length skirt (very typical of me) and a simple scoop neck, 3/4 sleeve shirt. thoughts? what did y’all wear when you met your guy’s parents??

What you’re going with sounds great. The day I met his parents it was not planned at all, I was out with him out on a warm summer day, so I was wearing jeans and a tube top, he went to pick up something from home, and his parents arrived as we were gonna leave.

Wear something that covers your assets. LOL
Parents are picky and want to see a “good girl”.
Even if this is 2012.
Nothing too shocking.
Unless theyre amazingly liberal.
And even parents who are want something subtle for their child.
Much love
Tell us what happens!

I wore a blue knee-length dress that is a sort of subdued plaid. it buttons up the front and looks a little country (but not too much!) I paired it witha smart red cardigan and some sandals. They loved me :) I guess his mama said he should “take his time with this one, she seems like a lady” :,))
