When I have tank tops that reveal the band of my bra, I usually put a black, razorback cami underneath. That would work with your tank too and not show any more straps. You could wear it with leggings, a cute pair of sandals and then add some accessories like a big colorful scarf or a long necklace and a ton of bracelets. You could even tuck it under a waist skirt and then put a cardigan over the tank! So many choices!posted over 3 years ago
To cover the band of the bra,you could wear a colorful bandeau or one with a cute print!posted over 3 years ago
The link isn’t working for me for some reason, but I think I can picture what you’re getting at . . .
When I wear them with pants, I usually just scrunch long tank tops up so the end falls closer to my hips. Since they’re usually a stretchy material they stay quite nicely, and I find the folds are more flattering than the thin fabric stretched flat against everything anyway. However, you can also wear them tucked into a skirt and be assured they won’t come untucked! Tanks look good with high-waisted skirts, especially with something like a scarf or an eye-catching necklace.
I second the suggestion of wearing it with another cami or a bandeau when you wear it alone, especially if it is thin. But tank tops make great underlayers, too, so you can wear it with cardigans, jackets, or deep v-neck sweaters and not even have to worry about exposed bra.
If the top is really thin and tight, however, I don’t recommend wearing it with tights or leggings, though, at least not without a skirt. It just leaves too little to the imagination, you know?posted over 3 years ago
Same the link isn’t working for me either.
I’d say, do heaps of layering with it! It’s plain so you can go outrageous with the accessories, haha. As for the bra-showing thing, either wear a cute patterned bandeau and cover up with a cardi, or like a denim vest in summer.
Definitely wear necklaces or scarves to keep the front interesting, and also wear tights. Patterned would look great.posted over 3 years ago
I’m not sure what your comfort level is with short attire but if the tank dress doesn’t turn into a tank top walking you could always throw a long sheer top over it or some really cool knit dress
When in doubt you could always pair it with black leggings or tights and definately have fun with accessoriesposted over 3 years ago
A nice thin belt around the waist, and maybe some opaque stockings. Not the footless kind.posted over 3 years ago
