This weekend I’m attending a wedding at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. I’m not sure what the bride is wearing, but I’ve caught wind that the groom will be wearing an embroidered suit by Manuel, so I imagine it to look something like this:

On the invitation, it does say “rhinestones encouraged— it is the Country Music Hall of Fame, after all!”

SO! I’m always up for a costume opportunity, and I want to go all-out while still looking classy/wedding appropriate.

I’ve found a vintage dress resembling the following pattern, in blue:

And I think I may wear it with cowboy boots. I’ve also aquired some southewestern-y earrings. My sister, however, has nothing to wear. We’ve got to come up with two complete outfits by Saturday.

Do you think cowboy boots are 1) too understated for a wedding or 2) too cliche?
If so, what style shoes would you consider?
Is a 60’s style dress formal enough?
How would you wear your hair?

THOUGHTS, ALL, PLEASE!

MANY thanks!

ohhhhhhh im planning my wedding to be country chic! Im from west texas and a proud country girl. So i hope i can help! Do not wear the cowboy boots, leave those for a rodeo or concert, simply TOO casual, and yes very cliche. Think: Romatic Country. A simple lace dress would be perfect, add floral and rhinestone accents (maybe a brooch). if you want to wear boots try worn lace up Justin’s, there are really feminine ones out there. check out my post “country glamour” on my blog. That is a casual western outfit, maybe you can get an idea need more? message me!
