Not sure if I’m posting this in the right section. I have these canary yellow skinny jeans that love to attract stains. Every time I wash them, some mystery item bleeds on them. I wanted to tie dye them to distract from the stains, but the only color that sounded and good with yellow is black. I’m told that it is hard to actually get the color black with black dye. I’m thinking fabric paint would get a truer color, but I’ve never used it before. Any suggestions for a good fabric dye or paint for cotton/polyester jeans? I just don’t want them to turn brown.

If you want to get a true color with dye on denim you typically want to bleach it first. For a good looking tie die though I would look at the kits in your local arts and craft store. If you want to go more diy you can use sharpies & rubbing alcohol or food coloring, but the best results would come from an actual tie dye kit. Then you can use the left overs to make other cute tie dye projects!
