Brazilian carnival party??

What would you wear to a Brazilian carnival themed party?
The overall dress code seems to be swimsuit or just going as skimpy as humanely possible
but it’s been 30 degrees lately. I don’t want to risk pneumonia on the account of one wild night.

I was thinking black bikini, mesh top, and skinny jeans but somehow that seems too boring.
Anything to spice things up?
Argh, come to think of it, I should have really bought the gold bikini from American Apparel when I had the chance. ;(

And what kind of shoes should I wear?
I’m not at all a high-heel kind of a girl. I want to be dancing all night and all I can manage on heels is a horrible wobble. I have a pair of boots with heels that are pretty comfortable. Do you guys think knee-high brown boots would be ok for the occasion?
