okay this goes out to all the diy’ers out there… question.. so i have this black high waisted leather skirt from h&m… the one with the buttons that basically everyone has.. but anywhoz ive been dabbling in the world of diy and i was wondering if it could be as simple as sewing a quilted pattern on the skirt… if thats even possible… what do ya’ll think? i may try it and post pics if i do…. picture of the balmain below:

Unfortunately, simply quilting the fabric (which, if it’s H&M, I assume is a faux leather) probably won’t give you the same results as the Balmain skirt. The quilting on Balmain (and pretty much any leather garment) is taken into account when cutting the pattern and assembling the piece, since the fabric will pull and warp with the quilting stitches.
